Interested in drawing since childhood, George began painting with oils in the 1970's, only to migrate to other activities including model railroading, photography and running. His interest in painting was rekindled in the mid -1990's by the popular Bill Alexander and Helen Van Wyke TV series and he has been painting actively ever since.
George's art education consists mainly of local courses and workshops in landscape, portrait, still life and seascape painting in oils, watercolor and pastels. He has supported his family primarily by working in the business world, but would like to eventually become a full time painter.
George lives with his wife in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. They have two grown sons.
